I have just read the wonderful review of the COM production of "The Crucible". I think the article is well written and contains some pertinent analogies and opinions. I am forced to question why all the actors mentioned in praise are mentioned not only by their character names but also by their real life given names with the exception of Tituba. Are we digressing? I understand that Tituba is the slave character in the play and therefore may be considered base or unequal to her white superiors, however, must this carry over to our current times? I believe the actress must have a name as well. Do you not agree or was this intensional.
