After months of discussion, College of Marin and Dominican University have developed a guaranteed-transfer agreement for qualified COM students.

Under the agreement, students who meet the qualification standards are guaranteed admission to Dominican University and are eligible to receive many benefits, including a guaranteed incentive grant of $1,500 and a renewable merit scholarship of $2,500 to $10,000 per year, depending on grade point average. Qualified COM students can become members of Dominican's on-campus clubs, can attend Dominican social and sporting events, and are welcome to use Dominican's facilities, including the library and the newly remodeled sport and pool center, even prior to transferring. In addition, the first 10 students to fulfill the COM-Dominican transfer agreement are guaranteed on-campus housing at Dominican.

The agreement with Dominican is of particular importance this year, when existing guaranteed-transfer programs with UC campuses have been called into question due to the California budget crisis.
For more information, contact the COM Transfer Center, located in room 202 of the Kentfield Student Services building. Phone: 485-9671; on-campus extension 7671.
